KRIS ALLEN: spotted at the GROVE in LA!

Splash News
LOVE that Kris Allen is finding success with his great new CD...

Here's a photo of KRIS at the GROVE in LA where he was shooting EXTRA. I'm hoping I bump into him at the IDOL finals coming up next week. I'll post some more photos from SPLASH for you to see shortly, if you want. Just let me know in the comments below.

And... I do hope that pop radio will embrace him and his new single. He's an ARTIST. Not a flash in the pan. I'm confident RCA and King Riccitelli are developing him - and Adam Lambert - in the way they should. I know it's not always what some fans want, but they have plans, and pros who know how to execute those plans.

Have faith. I do.

Pictures are always welcomed! I have faith in Kris and love his music. Can't wait for Thank You Camellia on May 22 to hear it all. Absolutely loving all the snippets.

Definitely want to see more pics and news of Kris Allen! You're right, he is a true artist and deserves to be heard. His music is awesome. I heard the full album 'Thank You Camellia' yesterday and every song is hit worthy. Radio needs to jump on board or get lost in the dust.

I just hope it's not too late to get people to pay attention to him and his music.

Thanks for the post, Toby. I wanna have faith, but I"m not seeing visible promo for TVOL. It's such a catchy song, I just can't believe it hasn't made it to Top 40 radio yet. There are newbies who are just now finding out about Kris. If he had the promo he deserves, people would see what we see. I.e., I played several TYC snippets for my daughter--who is an idol snob--and she loved 2 of them and said they were def radio friendly, and she liked the other 2. She didn't dislike anything. \o/

I was happy when Kris went from Jive to RCA, but I'm not feeling the love...yet. Just being honest. Feel free to share what you see that I don't see.

  5. Please, please, please post more pictures! Any Kris pictures or news will be eagerly awaited. I couldn't agree with you more -- he's an artist and a very talented musician. I don't have much faih in pop radio, but I have the utmost faith in Kris's talent.

If by developing you mean "make sure that nobody, nowhere can hear Kris Allen songs", then yes, RCA is doing great job "developing" him.

Thanks for answering. I know it's your blog and you are a fan. It just seemed to me that your purpose was to put fans at ease. TBH, I'm very grateful for that, and was hoping perhaps you knew something we don't.

BTW....I'm also hoping I'll be at Idol to see him. Got my name in the ticket pool. Didn't get any on the 19th and my "connections" didn't come through. Hoping this time it will. I hope you see him at Idol. He'll be in NY taping Live with Kelly on the 22nd.

    3. If you're in LA for Idol finale, hit me up and say hi! We'll be staying close to LA LIVE... but not at JW Marriott this year...

Hi, Toby, thank you for posting about Kris. Is he still with RCA? All signs are pointing that he is no longer with the major label.

  9. LOL remind me not to respond to posts while at the club like I did earlier from my iPad. I believe he's with RCA and they're dedicated to his career... i think sometimes there's some frustration at record sales and single sales... active fandoms don't always make a song/single go platinum... and business is business i guess.

  10. I just emailed w/ my friends at RCA. They did NOT drop Kris Allen nor do they have plans to do so. :)

  11. Oh, thank you for getting an answer from RCA, Toby. Unlike Anonymous poster, I didn't think he was dropped, particularly when RCA Promo tweets about him. But it's good to have it straight via your contacts.

Toby if I get to the Finale (crossing fingers, toes and those of my cats) I will definitely stop by and say hi. I would love to meet you.

Toby, thanks for contacting RCA. I really do appreciate that. I'd be interested, however, to hear what your opinion is regarding RCA sending Kris to sing at an outlet mall vs. RCA sending Adam Lambert to Leno and (from what I hear...I don't follow Adam so I can't swear to it)to do a concert that will be shown to 100 Clear Channel PDs? I wish Adam all the success in the world, but I guess sometimes things like this makes one scratch her head and say...why??? I mean...Kris did win his season after all but sometimes I think RCA and 19E forget that. So inasmuch as it relieves me to hear that RCA has no intentions of dropping Kris (and I'm guessing the fact that David Cook is no longer with them had everyone concerned for Kris)I'd still love to know your opinion. Thanks.

I agree, Marla. RCA doesn't promote Kris at all: no i-tunes banner for his single, no TV appearances, no support with the radio as not a single Clear Channel radio station plays his music.

Kris is the most hard-working Idol and the real musician and great song-writer. One would think that radio would promote this kind of guy. However, radio chooses to support manufactured British boy bands and Canadian Idol instead of the American musician.

How is Kris supposed to sell anything when he is not promoted?
