The events of the last 24 hours are a reminder of a few things:
1) Hate is bullsh*t.
2) There's a middle ground and that's where what is RIGHT for ALL is found.
3) Incendiary speech, targets on maps, saying things like "job killing" and whatever have a new meaning today, and, honestly, this speech needs to come to an end.
4) It's a shame it takes the damn near assassination of an elected official - and the senseless murder of innocents - for us as a society to evaluate our social and political discourse.
We need to call out the elected in both parties who resort to inflammatory rhetoric to scare people. Scaring - fear - these emotions never end well. And it's just not worth it.
Let's rise above.
