Now, in the interest of full disclosure, I endorse Apple. All of it. From Macs to iPhones to the iPod line. All of it. Period.
That being said, they just laid the SMACK down on Wall Street.
This is because they have an amazing team of people who defend and propel the lifestyle that is the Apple Culture. Not a brand. A Lifestyle. And it is. A lifestyle.
I don't think Microsoft will ever be able to understand it. It's not about an OS, it's about design and how it feels. And how it feels to use it.
In short, it's about an emotion. An experience. You can't have one without the other.
And THAT is why Apple is "raising a generation of people who demand the products Apple has to offer..."
