This other station I worked at called Hot...

Funny sidebar.

Tonight, I went to a birthday dinner with a couple of neighbors. One of whom grew up in the NEPA-Hood...

Northeast Pennsylvania.

Home of what was once 97 point ONE... your HOT... 97...

She brought up NEPA at dinner... and I started thinking back... and I let one of the Hal Knapp created swingles just kinda come out...

97 point ONE... your HOT... 97...

"Yup!" she said.

I didn't know her then. Not sure if any of us did. But here in DC, after how many years... and after how many years since that place decided that being 'hot' wasn't so... 'hot...' any more - how funny is it that this new friend remembered what we did there against overwhelming odds and that we did for the love of what we did then?

I told her we should call up Rod Hendrix... 'cause he's here in DC, too...

... then we talked about Tinks. Linden Street. Downtown Scranton.

And Old Forge Pizza.

LOL and that damned Tookey Bird.

Memo to Kid: We made a difference.

From Washington, DC, a decade after HOT ceased to be... goodnight.
